Originally from New York City, I started teaching in the New York public school system in 2010, after years working in outdoor education and coaching sports. I started international teaching in 2014. I have experience designing curriculum, teaching IB subjects including ESS and Biology, and managing a variety of advisory-based and extracurricular activities.

I have an undergraduate degree (ENVS with a focus in Hydrology) from CU-Boulder, an MA from NYU and a MS from Clemson University. My teaching philosophy incorporates active learning through lots of lab work and hands-on activities. I have completed training as a Jhumpi Basu Fellow and a National Geographic Explorer Classroom Teacher.
